Clearview Capital Sells Twinco-Romax
to Shoreview Industries

January 8, 2010- Clearview Capital, LLC of Old Greenwich, CT has completed the sale of Twinco-Romax, LLC to Shoreview Industries of Minneapolis, MN. Twinco-Romax is a vertically integrated manufacturer and distributor of automotive fluids and related products sold to a variety of retail channels. The transaction closed on December 31, 2009.

The transaction yielded a 3.6x return on invested capital for Clearview and a 38% internal rate of return over Clearview’s four-year hold period.

“While we are very happy with the return we were able to create for our investors on this transaction, the sale of the company is bittersweet for us,” said Calvin Neider, co-Managing Partner of Clearview Capital.  “Dan Ribnick and his talented management team did a terrific job managing the rapid growth of Twinco over the past four years and were great partners in this investment.  We are proud of our association with the company and wish them well with their new partners.”

“Twinco is a fine company with an excellent future,” said William F. Case, Partner at Clearview Capital. “We believe Shoreview will be a great partner for the management team and that the company will continue to thrive in the years ahead.”

The Twinco-Romax investment was made through Clearview Capital Equity Fund I, and is Clearview’s fourth completed realization in that fund. Collectively those realized investments have returned 3.7x invested capital and produced a 38% internal rate of return.
